Summary
Based on a pre-defined topic or scenario, each participant is asked to roughly sketch down eight (UI) scribble versions with 45 seconds time for each scribble. The goal is to get 8 different scribbles on one topic from each participant. The time limitation prevents from getting too crazy with ideas and should be followed strictly.
Step-by-step
  1. Hand out pens and paper sheets (e.g. A3 paper size) or use the Crazy Eights worksheet.
  2. Let participants fold their paper three times to get eight areas or use the Crazy Eights worksheet.
  3. Give 45 seconds per sketch, about 5 minutes in total.
  4. Always remind the participants about the current time and sketch iteration number so that everyone is working in the same window.
